Hotel Accommodation

Hotel accommodation can be reserved in Bangkok through the intermediary of Diethelm Events.

Accommodation cannot be guaranteed after October 12, 2005. Although Diethelm Events will make every effort to meet participants’ requirements. Diethelm Events will operate on a ‘first come, first served’ basis with incoming requests.
The official hotels of the XVI Regional Congress of ISBT, Asia are listed below. Daily transportation to the venue from official hotels and vice versa will be provided complimentary when you book at any of the official hotels through Diethelm Events.

Please be informed that hotel rates are on a per room/per night basis inclusive of:
• Daily international buffet breakfast.
• 7% government value added tax (VAT) and 10% service charge.

Confirmation of reservation
To confirm the reservation, please complete the XVI Regional Congress of ISBT, Asia Hotel Booking Form and fax back to the housing bureau along with the payment form and deposit.
The housing bureau reserves the right to book another hotel within the same or better category if the desired accommodation should be fully booked.
Within 90 days of the conference commencing, the housing bureau cannot guarantee a hotel room or the preferential rate of a deposit is not paid, although the housing bureau shall make every effort to meet the delegate’s requirements.

Payment conditions for hotel reservation
The hotel accommodation bookings must be accompanied by a payment of US$ 200 deposit per room per stay in order to secure your reservation. Without payment the housing bureau is unable to guarantee your room. Your deposit will be passed on to the hotel. The delegates must settle the balance of their account and any incidental charges directly with the hotel concerned upon check out.
One night’s room rate will be debited from the delegate’s credit card if the delegate fails to arrive on the specified date.

Cancellation policy for hotel accommodation
Reservations may be cancelled 30 days prior to arrival without charge. Cancellations received within 30 days of arrival shall be subject to a minimum one night cancellation charge. For noshows or cancellations during the event, the hotels reserve the right to charge the full amount for the entire duration booked.

Any change to a reservation or cancellation must be notified to the housing bureau in writing and not directly to the hotel (s). If reservations are amended more than twice, a fee of US$10 per alteration shall be charged to cover administration costs.

Late Arrivals
Please indicate on your accommodation booking form, or notify the housing bureau in writing, if you will arrive at your hotel after 18:00 hrs. Failure to do so may result in your room being released.

Early Arrivals
Many international flights arrive into Thailand in the early morning. Hotel check-in time is usually 14:00 hrs. If you are to arrive before this time it is probable that you will not gain access to your room. To guarantee a room to be available for an early arrival, you will need to pre-register and pay for your room for the night before. If early check-in is required, please indicate this on your form and we will do our utmost to get you the best deal.
